Retirement & asset planning tools for Taiwan

What this site is

winpie is an online math-only toolkit. You enter your numbers, the tools apply published formulas (age-based allocation, 4% withdrawal, Trinity Study, Taiwan labor pension law), and you see the result. Nothing gets uploaded.

The audience is Taiwan residents — both locals and foreign nationals — who want to plan retirement, taxes, housing, insurance and investments without paying a planner for what is basically arithmetic.

What we do NOT do

  • No specific investment recommendations (no tickers, no funds, no brokers)
  • No sales — we do not sell financial products or lead-gen anyone
  • No accounts, no sign-up, no data collection beyond anonymous analytics
  • No paywalls

Monetization

The site is free to use and free forever. Costs are covered by Google AdSense display ads. If you want to support us, whitelist winpie.tw in your ad blocker.

Taiwan-specific tools

Tools tagged TW-specific implement Taiwan's statutory formulas. Examples:

  • Labor Pension (勞保 + 勞退): Taiwan Labor Insurance monthly pension formulas A/B plus the Labor Pension Act individual account.
  • Salary income tax: 2024 Taiwan brackets (5/12/20/30/40%) with the 3 married-filing methods.
  • Overseas income tax (AMT): Taiwan's alternative minimum tax regime — 100萬 inclusion threshold, 750萬 exemption, 20% rate.
  • Dividend tax: choice between combined filing (8.5% credit) and separate 28% rate for Taiwan stock dividends.
  • Civil servant pension: 2018 pension reform formula.

Generic tools

Universal calculators that apply anywhere — 4% withdrawal, Coast FIRE, Monte Carlo simulation, inflation, emergency fund, asset allocation, dollar-cost averaging.

Disclaimer

All outputs are math calculations. They do not constitute investment, tax, insurance, or retirement advice. Tax formulas and pension rules are based on publicly published regulations but may change each year — always verify against the official source (National Taxation Bureau, Bureau of Labor Insurance, etc.) before acting on anything calculated here.
